I should probably get more of my stuff uploaded and displayed sometime, shouldn't I?

Yeah, I guess I should.

Well for now, a text update!

.....

...

Okay, it's not that fascinating is it?

To sum it all up, at this moment I'm currently waiting for my Digital Photography class to begin. So bored at the moment. I do have some news if its worth anything; I'm attempting to migrate my website to a new location and give it a new design, and I've got the web host picked out and such so it is basically just need to complete the web site design. Also have a couple of pieces of work to complete, maybe post a preview of those things. Finally decided to get a Twitter account, maybe get a myspace/facebook account as well... Maybe not...

[Continuation of entry]

Well class started and got a break on adding more text... Other than what was mentioned above, just check out my Twitter and... well... yeah.

Procrastination at its finest.... Well, at least I think so. Its been a while since I've put a journal, however I've been attempting to work on classes for the semester and still have to play catch up in classes. However there is still some free time to be used for gaming (UT3 beckons me as much as both Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft individually). As I procrastinated, there was a decent amount of events that occurred, such as the release of a couple PSP wallpapers, which indicate that I got a PSP (to be honest, I never really thought that the PSP would be interesting than the DS). I have to say, making customizable items for the PSP is actually interesting for me, seeing on how Sony did release a toolkit of sorts to help make themes, so if you are watching me, expect some more PSP backgrounds and perhaps even some themes with custom icons (and fonts if I can figure out how to change them with the official updates).

Off the topic of the PSP, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is awesome in my opinion, but to a certain extent. The online mode is somewhat on the "o.k." side and to almost "needs moar work Nintendo!", its awesome that you can bet on players doing the fighting, but other than that, online mode needs more work on its connection. I still tell people to pick up the game if you have a Wii, despite the online mode. I still can't believe how much of an improvement they did on Adventure mode from Super Smash Bros. Melee, even if it is 'side scroll here and KO these enemies, rinse and repeat'.

I don't normally read comics published by DC comics and such, but I currently like the Wild Storm publication of World of Warcraft, primarily for the artwork of Ludo Lullabi (it seems I'm a sucker for what I believe to be, good artwork). I do have one gripe for the comic though, the story seems a bit on the pathetic side, the introduction to the series is okay, the gladiator section was better then it starts to go down hill in my honest opinion. I'm still curious on how the story progresses, but if someone is going a comic based off a video game, they should probably look into making Final Fantasy series, even if it is over done.

Speaking of comics, I've probably said something along the lines of making a comic of some sort, some time or another, but I believe that I will be making at least two comics (series hopefully) relatively soon. The main problem I currently have is the fact that I've never really "great" at drawing/sketching background scenes, in my own opinion, so I'll have to focus on improving that aspect. So when I get done something, show/tell me what I can improve on!

Other than that, I've got some work to catch up on for my classes, so I better get back to work or no game time until the end of the semester.

Also I need to start managing my priorities without the need for the nail gun from Quake (the DOS version) to staple notes on my forehead...

Final Steps of One Life, First Step into a New One

Soon... The days of the life during high school is about to finish its final chapter, and engraving the memories of the good, bad, and neutral times into the skulls of those who graduate. Wow... What days those were. I doesn't seem like the end of high school. Is this what it feels like, a new world for the next generation to explore till the end of time? Taking time to recollect the thoughts, memories of the past, I wonder where I would be for now. College is very different from what I've done so far, but what does the future hold? Anxious I am, to be done with high school, but still, containing a great deal of regret of having incomplete challenges, tasks, duties laying about.

But this also brings time to the table once more. Time to devote to myself, my future. Not trying to make this a deep entry but, wow, what a ride. The next steps in life, what do they hold? Are they impossible to over come? Hmm.

Besides graduation, I've actually been doing some writing in the time I devoted to it. Is it going to have a visual form? Meh, I don't know. Why am I typing like this? Meh, I don't know. I'll probably post it too see what people think of it. Its mostly incomplete though, so I don't really expect much.

And if you're confused about the playing section, it is correct. I am playing WoW... I believe that I'm becoming really addicted to MMOs now, as I have the notion to log on and play some more. Magtheridon is the world I walk on for now. Keigji is the avatar of my choosing. If you're really bored, send me a tell, and make sure you mention this entry or I'll think that your a really bad gold-seller that can't spam the right tells. The main reason is that a fair deal of my friends play, so its an easier way to keep in touch with them, incase they move to god-knows where. I do still play FFXI on the Ifrit server, so don't think I'm completely done with that. But sadly, no more GunZ.

Well that's it for now.

Diving Head First Into 3-D Modeling

Again, its been a while since I've updated this place, but school/work/gaming/lazy-ness have been more consistant than drawing in general. As the title says, I've finally taken the plunge into make/working with 3-dimensional models. I've got one thing to say from my experience with working with such things.

...Its a pain in the ass to do...

This is coming from a beginner of 3-D modeling. I suppose I have to explain why I just started doing 3-d modeling, and simply put, I want to make stuff for Oblivion. Yes, thats right, I got it. Finally...

I also worked with 3-D modeling for my high school art class (college art classes are strangly, well, different). I started with Maya. I would like to say, Maya seems to be a big pain to work with than Blender when working with polygons. The help tutorials that comes with Maya, only seem to help with NURBs modeling (which is a great thing to experiment with). Using Blender seems to be aimed toward the new, and upcoming 3-D modeling, as its seems more simpler. Less amount of technical jargon is a plus for me.

Playing around with models for oblivion is interesting, but I've come to a problem, the construction set for Oblivion likes to say "Cannot find NIF file/.dds files" or something along the lines. So personally, I'm a bit peeved about the program's consistancy to not cooperate. Along with doing with plug-ins for Oblivion that want to make me crazy by trying to remove them from the directory of my computer (AFleveling, and wz_inventory plug-ins in particular, personally I didn't like those plug-ins for Oblivion, but a new version may change my mind for both of them).

Other than working with 3-D modeling, nothing much, just have a fair amount of stuff to scan in and post up here so you may see an edit in this journal entry later. Also been thinking about a story for my characters in general but no attempts to actually work on the story yet, but it will happen.

Also... Where is freakin snow at? There hasn't been enough snow to really close a fair number of schools in the western section of Maryland in my opinion.

Well, I suppose that's all for the time being. Now to find a way to waste time until about 3:30PM-ish.

Edit as of 2/1/07 at 9:38PM:

Just scanned in some sketchbook images (12 altogether), and decided to make a wallpaper, so it will be up with another wallpaper I made out of lazy-ness.

Longer Version of Small Talk

Mon Sep 18, 2006, 10:21 AM
Well, its been awhile since I posted ANYTHING here, again, but I can say I've been a "little" busy (or just plain slacking off). Doing college classes with high school (monday-thursday for college, pretty much a half-day for highschool, so it works out for me). Other than that, I find myself playing more GunZ than I wanted to. So if you wanna talk to me at the moment, just send a note/comment or find me in a game of GunZ as either Keigji or Restalab.

In other news, a friend and I are probably gonna start a web comic (hopefully we follow thru with it), but we need to figure out what its on, so the question is what do you think we should do a comic on?

That is all.
